after watching the whole episode of ANC's Media in Focus, now i understand what's the real issue regarding this National Artist drama. di yata sila nagkakaintindahan with the real issues but definitely half of the story is a stipulation of how the Arroyo government misused her authority in awarding the highest award an artist can achieve. kaya lang with Caparas' way of thinking, ginagamit nya yun drama ng pagiging mahirap and masa to gain appreciation. overrated! clearly, di nya naintindihan yun issue. he's taking all these as personal attacks. i like it when Alexis reiterated that Caparas only wrote the lines in those comic strips, he's not supposed to be with the visual arts category. then Caparas told Alexis " bata ka pa nga", so typical, discriminating the youth. i wonder what Caparas thinks of the tragedy that happened to Alexis. he was very young indeed but every words that came out with his mouth were all brilliant and rational.

i was able to attend the burial of NVM Gonzales, a National Artist of the Philippines, he was married to my grandmother's sister. all in the family are very proud of the award given to him, it's very prestigious and now with all the drama and conflicts, the award might lose it's symbol and honor...
